TX prototype for wireless microphone system:
QUARTERWAVE developed the RF frontend of a digital wireless microphone system.
Unlike traditional analog wireless microphone systems, which use analog radio frequency (RF) signals, digital wireless systems convert audio signals into digital data for transmission. This technology is commonly used in various applications, including live performances, public speaking events, broadcasting, and recording studios.
ETSI mask measurement according EN 300 422-1:
Unintended emissions from the transmitter in the out-of-band domain refer to frequencies just outside the operational channel, arising from the modulation process but excluding spurious emissions. To verify that the transmitter operates exclusively within the designated channel, we assessed the output spectrum using EN 300 422-1 guidelines and adhered to the defined ETSI mask limits.
Analysis of digital modulations:
Quarterwave can even examine complex digital modulations down to the symbol level. Therefore Quarterwave uses the latest tools to evaluate signal quality using constellation and eye diagrams.
In the example, a PI/4 DQPSK modulated signal with a bandwidth of 150kHz was analysed to evaluate whether the I/Q modulator of the RF frontend of the transmitter is working properly.
